LEARN HOW HOMEWERKS HOME CARE IS RESPONDING.

Providing home care services during the COVID-19 pandemic:

As we know this is an unprecedented time for all of us with the COVID19 virus threat. The health and safety of each of our precious clients and all of our great caregivers is our number one priority during this time. To protect our caregivers and clients we have implemented the below activities and policies:

  • We have hosted several vaccination sessions, and while we do not require that all of our caregivers get vaccinated, we are pleased to confirm that the vast majority of our caregivers have already received their 2-shot vaccination regimen.

  • We have thoroughly trained each and every one of our caregivers to follow the most stringent infection control procedures, along with proper social distancing procedures while they may be out in the community.

  • Each HomeWerk Home Care’s team member is required to follow established infection control protocols for strict hand hygiene upon arrival at every client visit, throughout the visit and at the end of the visit. Gloves are to worn during direct personal care and at all other times when exposure to bodily fluids is possible. Gloves can be provided by our office, if any of our clients run out.

  • Upon arrival at a client’s residence, the caregiver is required to wear freshly washed clothes, and to have cleaned and disinfected any item she/he may bring with them; this is to include their cell phone, and any food or beverage item.

  • Face masks are to be required to be worn by all of our caregivers 100% of the time when at a client’s residence, except for when they may be eating or drinking (after eating and drinking masks are to be quickly put back on). Face masks are to properly fit each caregiver and cover both mouth and nose at all times. Our office will supply face masks to our caregivers if for any reason they run out.

  • If any caregiver begins to feel ill she/he is to immediately call our office AND their doctor (or County Health Dept.) and get triaged to further diagnose her/his illness before her/his return to work with HomeWerks Home Care.
